Truth Time

I guess it's time to come out with the truth. Here goes: I have been lame about not writing in my blog, because I don't feel blog literate. However, this entry is an effort to prove myself wrong & to begin the difficult process of learning a new "skill." My next task will be figuring out how to put pictures from my digital camera on the blog. Just be patient with me. I am trying.
So, as most of you know, hopefully, our family has moved to San Antonio, the Stone Oak area. I love it here. It's so beautiful! I do know that thinking San Antonio is beautiful is a controversial statement, but I do come from Dallas, so it's all relative. There are actually hills here, and the beautiful LDS temple that can be seen from my front door.
I have made some new friends that are so fun. Although I must say that I've left some friends that I dearly miss. I love running outside here. I had to get used to the hills, but I think what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.
The kiddos are settling in nicely. Sterling begins Kindergarten on 8/25. He says he's ready, but I don't claim to be. Remi is on a waiting list for Mother's Day Out but will otherwise be hanging out with me. I am excited about the one-on-one time we'll be able to spend together. Johnathon is working hard at his new job, but I see great things for him around the corner. All of his hard work will pay off! His birthday is tomorrow- he'll be 36! Wow - time flies!
I do miss my family, but have made it back to Dallas a couple of times since May. They've made an effort to visit us as well. One thing I've learned is to use babysitters liberally. There are no strings attached , and the kiddos seem to enjoy playing with them.
Okay, I think that's enough for today. More to come, or Shari has promised to post a picture of me in a bathing suit - that's what prompted this entry - blackmail!

Just further proof that blackmail does work. I'll hold on to the sexy swimsuit picture for the next time I need something...

When can we invite ourselves over next?

Erica, it's Stephanie Richardson... I got your phone message and I am going to call you back I promise! That is so weird about those people that know Britt. It really is such a small world. Anyhoo, I was glad to hear from you and hear that things are going well for you guys! This blogging thing is pretty fun! I just started ours last month. I was so skeptical at first, but my family love seeing the pictures of the kids and hearing what they are up to. It is great when you live far from family! Miss you guys and I will call you soon!

Good job Erica. Trust me, if I can blog, you can too! I'm wondering what kind of blackmail Shari has on me? Maybe being out of the country helps.
